ObituaryCraft is an AI-assisted writing tool for obituaries and eulogies, operated from the Republic of Lithuania. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Lithuanian Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data. We collect only the data we need to deliver the service, we never sell your information, and we never share the details you tell us about your loved one with advertisers or data brokers.
Purchased obituaries are stored for as long as you keep your account so you can return to them, re-download them, or share them. Drafts that were never purchased are retained for 12 months from the last activity and then deleted. Memorial websites remain online while your Bundle access is active. You can request deletion of any obituary, draft, or memorial site at any time by emailing privacy@obituarycraft.com.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to deliver the service. Each one is bound by a data processing agreement with us, and each one only receives the data necessary for its role:
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
Email privacy@obituarycraft.com from the address tied to your account and we will action the request within 30 days, as required by GDPR Article 12. Users in the EU/UK have the additional rights set out in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection). If you are unsatisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, ada.lrv.lt) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence. We honor equivalent rights for users in other jurisdictions (CCPA/CPRA, etc.) regardless of where they live.
We set strictly necessary cookies for the funnel session, authentication, and Stripe checkout without asking for consent, because the site cannot function without them. We set analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics 4) and advertising cookies (Google Ads and similar conversion pixels) only after you give consent via our cookie banner. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.
ObituaryCraft is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, email privacy@obituarycraft.com and we will delete it.
ObituaryCraft is based in the European Union. Some of our processors (e.g. Stripe, Anthropic, AWS, Vercel, Microsoft, Google) operate in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR, and we require equivalent technical and organisational safeguards.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and notify active users by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
